Police search for information after shots fired in Williamswood

Halifax Regional Police are investigating a shooting that occurred in Williamswood on Thursday night.

Police say that at approximately 10:40 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 2600 block of Old Sambro Road in Williamswood.

There were no physical injuries, but police say responding officers located a residence that had been hit by gunfire.

According to police, a man dressed in dark clothing fled the area in a dark-coloured four-door sedan or small SUV.

Investigators with the Integrated General Investigation Section are investigating.

The investigation is still in the early stages, but the home was believed to be targeted and not random.
