Mounties investigate suspicious fire in Cole Harbour

Police are investigating a suspicious fire that took place in Cole Harbour early Monday morning.

At roughly 4:18 a.m., emergency crews responded to a fire on Caldwell Road where an unoccupied wooden structure was engulfed in flames.

Mounties said Caldwell Road near Andrew Avenue was closed for a short time to allow HRFE to extinguish the fire which did not spread to nearby structures.

Anyone with information about the suspicious fire or dashcam footage of the area of Caldwell Road and Andrew Avenue / Millbrook Avenue between 4:00 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. on Monday is asked to contact the RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
