A woman has been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries after being stabbed Wednesday afternoon.

Halifax Regional Police were called to a disturbance involving a group of people on Barrington Street, just north of the Cogswell Interchange, at around 2:40 p.m.

They allege a man assaulted a 31-year-old man and stabbed a 36-year-old woman before running off.

He was arrested nearby and police say the suspect and victims knew each other.

Duwan Glasgow, 23, of Halifax is scheduled to appear in court Thursday on charges of attempted murder, assault with a weapon, weapons possession and two counts of breach of conditions.
