Disney cruise ships making stops in Vancouver this year

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Vancouver might want to send Mickey Mouse a ‘Thank You’ card. The City could see a dramatic rise in cruise ship business this year.

The “Disney Wonder” will make 18 stops in Vancouver this year and those stops are expected to have a $40 million economic impact on our city. The cruise schedule for this year shows there will be at least 200 calls, up from 177 last year.

Port Metro Vancouver tells the Vancouver Sun that overall, the numbers are pretty strong and Vancouver could see one billion dollar injected into the local economy.
