The UARB has swooped in and told HRM council to cut seven seats from council. That makes it 16 councillors plus the mayor come October 2012. We get reaction from a proponent of a smaller council (Mayor Peter Kelly) and an opponent (Councillor Jackie Barkhouse). Construction work on the MacDonald Apartments on Cunard is driving some people crazy. A portable generator is the culprit. We speak with neighbour Kristen Morse. There’s been a spike in dog bites this year, even Canada Post says they’ve seen 41 bites across Canada in the last couple weeks. We speak with HRM animal control officer Andrea MacDonald.
