Winter parking ban in effect

With a messy mix of rain, freezing rain and snow on the way over night the HRM winter parking ban is in effect for tonight.
“Municipal Operations are mobilizing street and sidewalk crews for 10pm tonight for salting and plowing as required,” says Winter Works Superintendent Gordon Hayward. “The ban will be in effect until further notice.”
Vehicles must be parked off-street overnight — tickets can be handed out from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m.
