Arrest made in Halifax Shopping Centre assault

An arrest has been made after a teenage girl was sprayed with a sensory irritant in Halifax.
A 39-year-old man from Halifax is alleged to have sprayed the 14-year-old at around noon Friday as she was walking through the parking lot at the Halifax Shopping Centre.
The suspect took off on foot towards Bayers Road, but was identified and arrested Saturday.
The accused faces multiple weapons related charges including administering a noxious thing, assault with a weapon, possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon and possession of a weapon dangerous.
He’s since been released but will appear in Provincial court on Oct. 30.
