Police search for Gold River shooting suspect

Chester RCMP has issued a search warrant for 60-year-old Ronald Lorne Paul of Gold River after a shooting in Gold River Saturday evening.
At around 7:45 Saturday evening, RCMP received a call that a 31-year-old man from Gold River arrived at the South Shore Regional Hospital with a gunshot wound. He was then transported to the QEII hospital in Halifax for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The preliminary investigation determined the incident happened earlier in the evening at a residence in Gold River, Lunenburg County. There was an altercation between two men who knew each other which resulted in one of them being shot.
An arrest warrant was issued for 60-year-old Ronald Lorne Paul. He’s charged with: Aggravated Assault, Discharging a Firearm with Intent to Endanger a life, and Assault with a Weapon. Additional charges are pending.
Paul is described as being 6 feet tall, 162 lbs, grey hair, and hazel eyes.
