Failed robbery at Fairview convenience store

Halifax Regional Police were called to two robberies in Halifax last night around 9 o’clock.
The first was at a convenience store on Central Avenue in Fairview. Police say the suspect entered the store with a knife and demanded cash from the employee. When the suspect spotted the store owner, he took off empty handed. The suspect was tall and thin, wore a hoodie, and he’s believed to be 19 or 20-years-old.
Police responded to a second robbery shortly after, this time around Cornwallis and Gottingen Street. Police say a man was approached by another man and a woman, one of them with a knife who demanded the victim turn over his phone. The victim passed over his cell and the couple took off but were quickly arrest by police who recovered the knife and phone. The man is facing criminal code charges in relation to the incident, no one was hurt.
