Halifax pay stations no longer accepting swipe payments

As of today, residents and visitors looking to park at municipal-owned parking pay stations will no longer be able to make magnetic swipe payments.
The municipality says that pay stations will continue to accept tap, cash, and mobile payments, but swiping or inserting your credit card will no longer work.
On-street parking is a pay-by-plate, pay-by-zone system. There is a mixture of paid, permit, and hourly parking in parking zones.
