Victim identified in Dartmouth shooting

The victim of a fatal shooting Thursday has been identified as 52-year-old Tyson Shandell Cain.

Cain was pronounced dead at the scene after gunshots were reported in the area of Highfield Park Drive and True North Crescent on May 29 around 12:00 p.m.

The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service conducted an autopsy and confirmed the death to be a homicide.

The investigation is ongoing but police say they do not believe the incident to be random.

Anyone with video of the area throughout the morning of May 29, or who may have information about the incident, is asked to contact police at 902-490-5020.
