Driver ticketed for hitting female pedestrian in Fall River

Police say a driver has been ticketed after striking a pedestrian with their vehicle in Fall River on Monday morning.
At roughly 7 a.m., emergency crews responded to the 1400 block of Fall River Road where a Ford Ecosport struck a pedestrian.
Mounties said the pedestrian, a 32-year-old Fall River woman, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by EHS.
The driver, a 30-year-old Fall River man, did not suffer physical injuries.
Police said they issued a summary offence ticket was issued to the driver of the Ford for failing to operate a vehicle at a careful and prudent speed for existing conditions.
