NORTH SHORE (NEWS1130) – Drivers on the North Shore who haven’t quite got the hang of B.C.’s new hands-free law will be getting some reminders today. The North Vancouver RCMP and West Vancouver Police are teaming up with ICBC as part of a new awareness campaign called “Breaking the hand-held habit”.
We’d like to tell you the time and location of the blitz, but police have asked that we don’t. It would kind of defeat the purpose, after all. But even if you do get stopped, don’t worry about getting a ticket, police won’t start handing out fines under the new law until February 1st.
