SURREY (NEWS1130) – It looks like a man was beaten to death during an overnight fight in Surrey.
Corporal Dale Carr with the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says mounties found a body in the middle of 135A Street near 108th Avenue. “They immediately got out of their vehicles to attend to him. They saw he was in dear medical distress… suffering from what appeared to be life-threatening injuries.”
Carr tells us the man may have been in a fight with four men seen at the corner of 135A Street and 108th Avenue. “What we’re interested in is knowing if that altercation did indeed occur, and if it did, whether or not it had anything to do with the homicide.”
The victim is believed to be a 43 year old man, but that hasn’t been confirmed.
